The workshop is a 3-hour crash course on how to brew beer at home. All ingredients and equipment will be prepared and set up before your arrival.
Introduction to Beer and Brewing Process
We will start with a brief introduction to the 4 basic elements of beer and 6 basic steps of brewing. You will see, smell and feel different types of grains.
The Brewing Experience
The participants within each group will share one set of homebrew kit and start brewing under step-by-step guidance. You will also learn the tricks to homebrewing beer in HK.
History of Beer and Craft Beer Appreciation
We will tell you how brewers create aromas, colors, flavors and textures from common ingredients. You will also learn to appreciate different beer styles from around the world and how to match the right glass to different beers.
Bringing Home Your Homebrew
At the end of the workshop, you have the option to bring home your own batch of homebrew, together with the brewing kit to complete the “homebrewing” experience.
For the next two weeks, you will be watching the yeast transform the ordinary sugary liquid to your own tasty great beer. You will also have the fun of bottling your own beer and making your own beer labels.
By the end of the third to the fourth week, you can go ahead and crack off that bottle cap, take a sip and “mm… ahhh…” – that’s what your very own beer tastes like!
